Driving License Test

Prepare for the Kuwait driving license test: theory exam topics, practical test tips, MOI appointment booking, and pass requirements.

The Kuwait driving license test has two main parts: a computer-based theory exam and a practical road test with an MOI examiner. Both are booked through the General Department of Traffic after you meet document and medical requirements.

Theory test

The theory exam covers Kuwait traffic law, road signs, right-of-way rules, speed limits, and safe driving behaviour. Questions are multiple choice on a computer at the test centre. Study official MOI materials and practice sample topics — see our exam questions guide for common themes.

  • Arrive early with Civil ID and appointment confirmation.
  • Read each question carefully — some scenarios involve multiple correct considerations.
  • Failing usually requires a waiting period before rebooking; confirm current MOI policy.

Practical test

The practical exam tests parking, lane discipline, signalling, observation, and compliance with examiner instructions on designated routes near the traffic department. Use a school vehicle or your own if permitted, with valid insurance.

  • Adjust mirrors and seat before moving — examiners notice preparation.
  • Complete shoulder checks and signals even when the road seems empty.
  • Stay calm; sudden braking or ignoring signs are common fail reasons.

Booking appointments

Appointments are released through MOI traffic eServices or at service counters. Slots fill quickly — check regularly or use official notifications if available.
